Summer sales in London!

If you want to do a shopping trip, let’s go to London for the Summer sales! Whereas the summer sales start today in France, they started two weeks ago in the United Kingdom. Unlike the Winter sales, which always begin on the 26th of December (Boxing Day), there is no starting date for the Summer sales as retailers can set it when they want to. The discounts are really interesting with a lot of shops having sales up to -50% on many products and which can go up to -80%. From luxury shops such as Burberry and Selfridges, to big discounters such as Tk-Maxx and Primark, you’ll find below some precious informations on shops and shopping areas in London.

Shopping streets

Oxford Street

Oxford Street is one of the most famous street of London and the longest shopping street in the world with 300 shops on 2,5 kilometers! You’ll find many british department stores with famous shops such as Selfridges (where you can see Rowan Atkinson playing a salesman in the movie Love Actually), Debenhams, HMV, TopShop, John Lewis or Marks & Spencer, and many international department stores. Regent Street

Regent Street is located in the heart of London and links Oxford Street to Waterloo Place via Piccadilly Circus. You’ll find many shops such as Apple, All Saints, Zara and TopShop… Need a break ? There are also many bars, cafés or restaurants in Regent Street. It’s the first shopping street in the world and is famous for its architecture.

Carnaby Street

Not far from Regent Street and Oxford Street, you’ll find Carnaby Street. This pedestrian street is located in Soho and counts many fashion shops, home decor shops, and designer shops. You’ll find almost 100 shops and 60 bars in the 13 streets of Carnaby. It was the birthplace of Swinging London in the 1960’s, and artists such as The Rolling Stones, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix have been there.

Covent Garden

Then, head towards Covent Garden to discover the charm of this London’s area. There, you’ll find many British department stores such as Paul Smith, Mulberry, and Burberry or french big names in fashion such as Chanel and Dior. There are also many designers’ shops and more classic ones like Gap, Zara, Levi’s


Shopping centres

London also has two of the biggest shopping centres in Europe! Two shopping centres of the US chain Westfield have opened in the capital. In the West, there are the 360 shops of Westfield London, which is located in Sheperd’s Bush, in the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. In the East, there is the shopping centre Westfield Stratford which gathers 330 shops and hosts almost 45 millions visitors per year. There is something for everyone’s taste and budget.



If you prefer to shop from home, there are many shops that sell online such as ASOS, Forever 21, Monki or TK-Maxx (with clothes sold up to -60% on their website or in shops all year long).
